Macy's Holiday Parade Strolls Through Downtown

The Macy's Holiday Parade is an annual morning after Thanksgiving tradition in downtown Portland. It was a very colorful affair. A big crowd bundled up to brave the chilly air. Perhaps, to see none other than Jolly Old Saint Nick lead the parade. Santa Claus traveled from the North Pole and appeared on his sleigh. The parade featured 24 unique inflatable floats, 450 costumes, marching bands, drill teams and equestrian units. Some of the costumes were also seen in the Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.
