Aloha Teen Hit and Killed Walking Home

The life of 17-year-old Max McGregor was cut short Tuesday afternoon when he was hit and killed by a car on SW 185th Avenue just a block from his Aloha home.  He'd just stepped off the bus after classes at the Health and Science School.  Grief counselors are helping students and staff cope with the tragedy.

41-year-old Michelle Young crashed her vehicle into McGregor on the sidewalk.  She went through two yards and fences before crashing up against a home near Sandra Lane.

Young's mother says her daughter was just at the hospital for seizure treatment.  Last March, she was arrested for DUII, pleaded no contest and went through a diversion program to drop the charges.  The findings of this crash will be reviewed by the Washington County District Attorney's Office.
