Burgerville is known for it's seasonal and local menu items and now it's diving into another food trend: gluten free.  Several items on Burgerville's current menu are already gluten free, like the salads and veggie burgers, but it's now offering gluten free buns at two of it's locations.  The restaurant by Cleveland High School and the one in Fisher's Landing are testing the product.  So far, President and CEO Jeff Harvey says he's getting a lot of good feedback...and he loves the bun himself.  "I though it was great.  In many ways, the gluten free bun that we're testing has a profile I'd love to see in all of our buns.  It stands quite high, it's very elegant looking.  I had a turkey burger with Tillamook Cheese and it highlighted all those ingredients just fine."
Harvey says they decided to test the gluten free option because he heard too many stories involving that families would come in, and someone in the family was left out.  For example, they could only eat the meat and the lettuce off the burger.  Harvey says at Burgerville, they want to make sure everyone is welcome at the table.
Harvey is sure these buns will go chain wide at some point.
