Mat Kearney: Huge Duck Fan

Fans of teams in athletics show their love in many different ways. Musician Mat Kearney showed his love of the Ducks through music. Kearney joined John Canzano of The Bald Faced Truth to talk about his love of Ducks football.

Mat, who grew up in Eugene, OR is a huge Ducks fan and when the rumors and reports of Chip Kelly interviewing for NFL jobs surfaced he wrote a song titled "Chip Don't Go". Mat talked about the song gaining popularity.

"I'm kind of vocal about loving the Ducks and you know it's part of where I grew up and I didn't expect to be on Sports Center because of that song, I haven't done too many sports radio interviews to be honest."

Mat and John talked about the Ducks fanbase and the football program. Mat commented on being a big fan of the Oregon Ducks.

"I'm pretty big (fan) you know my hero growing up was Terrell Brandon and Derick Loville and I was the kid waiting at Mac Court to run out and try to get the wrist bands off the players right as the game ended you know, that was me."

John and Mat discussed moving from Eugene to Nashville and the touring lifestyle of a musician.
