Need a Ticket to the Pac-12 Championship Game? No Problem
December 1, 2011, 1:23 am
The
University of Oregon Ducks will take on the
UCLA Bruins Friday night in the first ever
Pac-12 Championship football game. Ducks have home field advantage; the game will be played at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Sounds like a big game and that tickets would be hard to come by, but that's not the case. Thad Lane is a ticket broker with
Epic Seats. He says supply far outweighs demand for this game, and for several reasons.
"The Duck fans have laid out a lot of dough, first if they went to the LSU game down in Dallas, if they went to maybe the BCS and we know what the ticket prices were for that last year, that probably cost them a fortune." Lane also says a 5:00 start on a Friday night isn't an ideal game time, especially for people in Portland. And the fact that the Bruins are underdogs by 31.5 points, doesn't help either.
Lacey Evans reports, click to listen:He has bad news if you're holding tickets and looking to sell. He doesn't think you'll get even half of face value. But of course, that's good news for people looking to buy. The winner of this game goes to the Rose Bowl. You can hear all the action on
