Fight the Flu Kit

Visiting Angels is a group of in home caregivers.  They visit and assist mostly elderly people who need help with everyday tasks.  Things like laundry, cleaning or grocery shopping.  Jamie Butler is the Operations Director for Portland.  She says her caregivers are often the people who spot flu symptoms first.  During flu season, Visiting Angels go to their appointments armed with "Fight the Flu" kits.  Inside are simple yet effective items.  Things like hand sanitizer, vitamin C pills and paper towels.  Butler says the items inside the kits are things anyone can buy at a drug store.  If you'd like to make a "Fight the Flu" kit, click here.
