Playing in the NFL is dream for most players that develops at an early age while playing in high school and even college. Having the skills to be successful in college often times paves the way for a career in the NFL. Former Beavers RB, currently with the Atlanta Falcons Jacquizz Rodgers joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk football.
The Falcons face off against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs. Jacquizz is asked if the Seahawks are "cheap shot" artists.
"It's football, you know as long as the whistle hasn't blown you play to the whistle."
Leaving Oregon State early to enter the NFL Draft isn't always an easy decision to make for players. Rodgers talked about telling Beavers coach Mike Riley.
"When I declared he was one of the first people to know outside my family and as soon as I told my family I called him right afterwards. He was loyal to me during my recruiting process so I gave him a little payback for his loyalties."
Rodgers and Canzano also talked about making the transition as a college running back to the NFL and the learning process.
