They have been in storage since the end of last years show, but lights and cables for the Singing Christmas Tree have been stolen.

"It would be all your tiny "B" lights and your little C7's and everything you would decorate your family tree with.  Our tree is fifty times the that size so all the light bulbs are huge with specialty made cables."

Singing Christmas Tree Executive Director Greg Tamblyn says they don't know when the $8,000 worth of lights and cables disappeared, but they are working hard to put it back together before Thursday's grand opening.  Tamblyn says they have dealt with problems in the past but never a theft like this.

"Christmas is about giving and this looks like we've been taken"

Tamblyn feels the equipment was stolen to be recycled for cash.
